I live in glasgow. I was up at my local shops and chipy earlier. In the shop there was a poster with a picture of Alistair Darling on it and 'Alistair Darling, the Chancellor of the Exchequer, is BANNED from these premises'.

Dunno know if he frequents the place, but on further investigation it appears that its not just the shop but the general consensus in the area, Castlemilk and Croftfoot, that the right honorable Alistair Darling is considered persona non grata, and BANNED!

In light of the sign in the chipy, 'Due to the EXTREMELY high price of fish, 50p on a 2pc fish supper and 30p on a single piece', its not overly surprising.

I love that some one has gone to the trouble of designing, printing and distributing these posters. As a citizen and a resident I am supportive of that general consensus.

Why just Alistair Darling? If every pub barring Darling had posters barring local Labour politucians as well it would certainly put the pressure on Darling from them as they get criticised locally for supporting this.

Believe me. There's one thing that will make politicians put pressure on their bosses. It's local criticism of themselves and the threat of losing their seats.

I am a licence holder for the YHA in south West of England. I would like to join your Ban the Bugger but don't think head office would get involved. Why stop there. Why don't all pubs/shops/bars/restaurants etc ban ALL labour MP's as a protest at the way they are systematically raping this country and our pockets to feather their own nests. The only way they will recognise the depth of feeling in this country is if it affects them personally - otherwise they just don't give a toss.
